In the Know
Who: Posy & Open
When: Afternoon
Where: Vicarage
Posy had been keeping quiet and tucked away, and was watching with glee. The information that Chris had given her about Eris was very interesting, as was the information Brett and Eris had handed up about themselves and Everett (however unwittingly). She had remained glued to the computer screen taking notes for quite some time. The less she communicated with them the less likely they were to bother her and find out her delicious secret - the walls had eyes and those eyes belonged to Posy. Oh, and Chris, but he was currently not a person who had a function. He had seemed unwilling to work with her, watching people, gleaning their secrets, so she was happy enough to do it herself.
Eventually though, she got hungry. She pinned back her sleek black sheet of hair and made her way to the kitchen. The desire to see one of her housemates was there, tingling at the back of her brain, but it didn't matter either way. She knew their secrets and quite frankly she wasn't above using the information to make mischief. Especially for Brett, and Hannah if she found out anything of note. No-one was rude to her without some sort of payback. She could be karma in motion, if she felt like it. Posy laughed softly to herself as she stirred a bowl of oatmeal, picturing their pathetic little faces.

Glitch had had a wonderful morning, what with seeing Ronnie again and having a magnificent run around town, really getting to know the town, and more importantly, taking it all in, enjoying the fresh air. But sooner or later everyone needs to eat, and she headed back home and showered before heading into the kitchen for much-needed nutrition.
Chirping, snapping, and twitching happily, she practically skipped to the kitchen. Creepy as the house was, she was happy to be out of the tunnels and at least getting some semblance of normalcy. She put on the brakes when she saw the pale, dark-haired woman already in there. Chirping first, she appraised the somewhat severe looking woman. "Um, hi!" Chirp, twitch, bark. "I'm Glitch. I'm guessing you're either Eris or Posy, right?" She put out her hand to shake, twitching her head to the left for a moment as she did.
Snapped out of her rather twisty thoughts, Posy gave Glitch a blatent once over, taking in the brightly coloured hair and mass amounts of metal dangling from her face. Body modification was something Posy had neve found appealing - more unclean, than anything. But even so, she took the hand briefly and cocked an eyebrow rather quizzically. The woman had said she'd be making odd noises, but Posy couldn't quite figure out how to deal with the tics. Did Glitch suffer some form of nervous disorder, she wondered?
"Hello, Glitch. Yes, I'm Posy. Are you... alright?" the question wasn't one brought up from concern, and it didn't particularly sound it. It was delivered with the usual blunt edges and unfazed tone, but the slight hesitation betrayed some of her uncetainty about the new girl. While she was keen to ask about the tunnels, and of course Brett - the new focus of her curiosity - she wanted to make sure she wasn't going to have to put up with any fits or anything of the sort.
"What?" chirp! "Oh, that." She smiled a little, twitching her head back to the left for a second before continuing. "That's nothing. Tourette Syndrome." She snapped her fingers and chirped again, as if to emphasize it. "But yeah, I'm perfectly fine-fine," she said with a couple more snaps. "Nothing to worry about, just a bit-" chirp! "-disconcerting till ya get used to it."
She remembered Posy from her little journal post the night before. "You're a volunteer, right?" Glitch began rummaging through the pantry while she talked, clicking her tongue and snapping her fingers as she went. "Well, I guess we're all-" chirp! "-volunteers in one way or another, if you think about it." She cleared her throat a couple of times before coming out with a bag of chips. Not the most healthy lunch, but a comforting one, at least. "What line of bull did they feed you to sucker you in?" Chirp, twitch, bark, open bag.
"Yes. I volunteered. I wasn't told much, only that there'd been a mass anthropoligical experiment that was turning out to be rather illegal, and suspected to be in violation of the Geneva convention. I was curious. I'm interested in science, the human psyche, what it takes to break it. You know. So I came along to talk to people."
Only no-one was talking. Not to her anyway, but her darling little camera system was going to change all that. She smiled wryly again as she continued.
"And of course, you said you'd be willing to talk. About your experiment. The tunnels, was it?"
Posy couldn't quite take her eyes (which were gleaming with curiosity as they tended to when she started asking about the horrors of th experiments) off Glitch. The jerky little mannerisms were iritating and hypnotic at the same time. Posy's well-groomed eyebrows knitted together as she watched the woman.
"Illegal?-" chirp! "Illegal isn't the half of it," she said, digging into the bag of chips with gusto, clicking her tongue a couple of times for emphasis. "People, people died." Chirp, twitch bark. "People disappeared, I disappeared. Seriously. I thought I was only gone for a- cock! -couple of hours, it turned out I was gone a week." She twitched her head to the left and barked a couple of times. She could feel her tics starting to get worse. It didn't do it too often, just usually under high-stress situations, but when it did, things really got difficult for her. It had happened a couple of times down in the tunnels. At least a couple of times. "It was-was just fucking crazy down there. Cock! Cock in my ass!" She snapped her fingers and cleared her throat a few times before continuing. "Sorry, I'm-I'm trying but as you can see-" chirp! "it's a little harder-harder than I thought talking about it-it." chirp!
Posy visably flinched when Glitch barked out her 'cock in my ass' line, but was doing her best to ignore the girl's idiosynchrasies. After all - she was the first person who had actually seemed willing to tell her what the fuck happened. She had gleaned that Everett's experimet had a murderer - and of course Eris the scientist plant. But these tunnels seemed like they had more mystery to them - plus, the girl knew Brett. And she had made a promise (or possibly a threat) that she would find out about him somehow.
"You were exploring the tunnels then? Do you remember what you found? I understand you must of had an unpleasant time of it - but not speaking about something isn't going to gloss over the fact that it happened. I said the same thing to Brett - you know him of course? You ought to talk to me. After all, I'm here to help"
Yeah. Sure sounded like it, too. Although it wasn't a lie as such - she was here to help. Just not the people who needed it.
"You're right, of course," -chirp!- "You're right." Glitch kind of turned away for a moment under the pretense of cleaning her glasses, clearing her throat a couple of times before continuing. "It's all good." Twitch, bark, snap. "We found lots of things down there. cock! And it would all happen randomly," she said, chirping and continuing to scarf down chips. "One day a trap-trap door would open, that led us to a house,- "chirp! chirp! "- then underground tunnels full of water... one time, the time I disappeared, I followed Cock! Cock in my ass! one that I'd never seen before." The words were tumbling out of her mouth now, as if she'd been waiting all this time to let it out and now that the dam had broken, there was no stopping the flood. "I followed it around and-" her head twitched and she barked at her left shoulder. "Like I said, I'd been gone what I thought was a few hours and they said they'd sent a search party out for me, that it'd been a week and they gave me up for dead." chirp! "Crazy shit like that, you know? Sorry, I tend to ramble on and on for no reason-reason. Let me know if I'm going too fast or anything."
"No. I can keep up. The other people in your experiment - how did they cope? Did you bond, or did anything more unsavoury occur? I've been informed that in some of the other experiments there were murders."
The way Posy said the word 'murders' was the only hint of interest given to her entire sentence. She was interested, of course, but it wouldn't do to look as though she was hanging on every word. It would be distasteful - and Posy wasn't the best at gleaning how to make other people warm to her, so it was better to be aloof. She only wished she had her notebook - this was going to make a wonderful set of notes.
"Well, some people bonded." Glitch said with a chirp. "You kind of had to really, at least most of us. Ronnie,-"chirp! "-Cheyenne, lot of us." She sighed, snapping her fingers and twitching her head with a bark. "Of course there were a few who didn't. People like Brett and Lilith. Especially Brett-cock!. He was Captain Bringdown." She looked at Posy curiously. "What are you, some kind of headshrinker or something?"
"A shrink? No. Nothing like that. Well - a little bit like that. I have examined a fair amount of brains in my time" She laughed softly at this - her own brand of macarbe humour. But Glitch told her a little of wat she wanted to know about Brett. It wasn't trauma in his experiment that made him rude and uncooperative. He just was.
"I'm a clinical pathologist. I have interests outside of my work, however, to do with people. Why they do what they do. That's why I wanted to come here and speak with you all. Brett - Brett is very closed. It's not healthy."
"Yeah, no shit it's not healthy," Glitch said, twitching her head to the left for a moment as she closed up the bag of chips. "But that's how he is. Acts all pathetic and miserable-" chirp! "-so everyone will leave his 4 wheeled ass alone, right?" She smiled, although the smile was interrupted by another twitch and bark at her shoulder. "The worst, I think was that nothing-nothing stayed the same." Chirp, snap, twitch. "Every day it seemed like something else had- cock! changed. Not good for us OCD types who have to spend an hour fixing things once they've been moved," she said, chuckling and chirping.
