Weather: Today dawns cold. The wet from yesterday has turned into a biting frost, and the cloudy skies threaten snow. The actual storm doesn't hit until late evening, around 7pm, but it snows heavily for the rest of the night, into the next morning. Power flickerings continue, blacking out only for a few minutes at a time after the snow starts, but it never stays off for longer than six minutes.

Events: Residents of the town today wake up to very strange circumstances. It seems that overnight, everyone was moved! Not only have they been moved, but they've been grouped together in large houses.

The groups are as follows:
Leah, Trent, Scott, Saj and Will staying at 2 Oakdale Drive

Ben, Adam, Trevor and Tobias staying at 10 Park Road

Shane, Jillian, Penny and Jack staying at 2 Short Street

Lina, Dave, Kaori and Svetlana staying at 3 Oakdale Drive

Jason, Emma, Dale and Esme staying at 2 Maple Street

Chris, Bethany, Drew, Jeremy and Owen staying at 1 Maple Street

Brianna, Cam, Janie, Addison and Indira staying at 9 Park Road

Everett, Brett, Hannah, Posy and Eris staying at the Vicarage

No one will have any memory of being moved, they will only recall falling asleep last night wherever they went to lie down. Clothes and toiletries have been moved with everyone, and seems to be nicely put away in the rooms that have been chosen for them. There is no word on why this was done.

The rest of the town has been boarded up tight. All other houses are locked up tight, and anyone wanting to get inside may have to resort to use of a chainsaw or two. All public buildings are the same. The houses are stocked with fresh food.

All public buildings are completely emptied. Stores, the rec center, the bowling alley, everything, it's all emptied out.

If you have any events or anything going on which you think warrants a mention in the time update, please let us know!

PM to Adam

When are the crops ready to be harvested? I'll get up there and help. No sense in not eating. I don't know my way around animals either but I can handle a feed bin, I'd imagine. Just tell me what you need.

If wishes were fishes I'd be up to my gills in fins.

Y'know what's stupid?

In the beginning, I didn't even -want- to go home. I was too worried about what they'd think of me. And with Clarkson and that its just that I didn't want to go. And now? I'd give anything to be able to get out of here in one piece. I think about Maroochydore beach back at home and think about that stupid monument with the toilet blocks underneath and wonder why I didn't think I could go back there.

So. Where are you guys from? I-. It might be hard to talk about, or y'may hate me for asking but

I'm volunteering my wonderfully able body...

Oo-err. Not like that. Unless you're particularly attractive... -winkwinknudgenudge-

yeah anyway, my introduction didn't go down swimmingly as I'd hoped, but I really do want to be useful. I know when we stopped getting food in my experiment we organised ourselves to go and find help as quickly as possible - well, as soon as there were enough co-henerent non-spazzing people to form a group that is. No offense to the spazzers :P

Are there plans to scout outside the town? Or go a-hunting or whatever?

Eris woke early. At least, she thought it was early. The light coming in from outside was muted at best, due to the stained glass, and there weren't any normal windows. Mostly what roused her was the sound of the wind, and the smell of something that made her stomach growl. So, slowly, she came awake, and she propped herself up on one arm, looking in the darkness of the building. She could see vague outlines, but not much more. The smell of food, however, was still strong, and she reached for her lighter, flicking it and she lit the candle that had been placed next to the pew she'd been using. Vaguely, she tried to remember when she got back the night before. Or if she remembered coming back at all.

That wonder died, however, when she saw up on the altar, there was a long table that hadn't been there before, the podium pushed off to the side. There were dishes there, covered, but obviously being kept heated. Standing, she silently moved a little closer towards the altar, but stopped when something else caught her attention. The door...well. I was different. Different in the way that it was sort of not looking like it was there anymore. A sick feeling rose up in her stomach, and she walked over closer, and saw a simple typed note tacked to the wall where the door used to be. "Relax, enjoy the food we've provided you. We will return to collect you later." was all it said. Drawing in a deep breath, she let it out slowly, fighting that sick feeling back down again, and she looked back over her shoulder at Brett. He was still asleep. Setting the candle down, she walked over, and sat down on the floor beside him, not actually moving to wake him. Instead she just sat there in the semi dark, eyes on him. This? Was not going to go well.

Murderer (private)

I've been stalling. I've been GLAD for shit going crazy, for needing to be there for Janie, to sit at the jail and keep an eye on that cracked out little bitch in the cell. I haven't wanted to come home, because the moment I walk in I know the box is here. It's sitting right where I put it last night, before I went to see Janie. Haven't taken the belt out of it yet, I don't think I want to either. Just looking at does... plenty.

The state of things (public)

Well everybody, welcome to another day. We've got more shit to talk about, so I won't waste any pleasantries right now. First off, I've been at the station most of the morning, haven't checked these systems until now. So if there's anything that needs to be brought up, feel free to do it here. If I'm needed, I'll do what I can to help out.

008. private entry. handwritten.

I'm not sure how much longer I can do this. It's hardly been two weeks, but still. They aren't giving me anything, you know? I have nothing to work with. Nothing. Some paint and a few masks, whatever beads and abandoned jewelry I can find in the streets. They've already taken the food. I guess they can only take our homes, now.

But it isn't as if I've never lived off the land before.

Power keeps flickering. I've got to remember to write things down. Or they'll get lost.

Treasure Hunt

Who: Trevor and -open-
When: Sometime between morning and early afternoon
Where: Elm Street (17-25)

Trevor had a new obsession, something that had stuck in his head and he couldn't shake the dark thoughts that came with it. People being locked inside boarded up houses. He wasn't normally a big humanitarian but the thought of being one of those people with nobody looking for them? For some reason it fueled him on. Hell, maybe there was food in there or drugs to make it worth his while. The scientists hadn't hesitated to leave him little treats in the past.

Let me get something out of my system first: FUCKING HELL.

I'm Tobias, fresh out of recovery from Experiment C as its being called and I swear to God, I'm going to kill the first scientist or doctor or whatever I run into. Now, please, somebody update me on what the fuck is going on around here because I've been outside and this place looks fucking dead. I was told we were all populated and happy. Maybe not happy but you get my point. I'm not so great with the thinking of right words at the moment. Yeah yeah, angry white boy coming through.

Hello, my name is Kaori Miike, and I've just arrived in town. I wanted to say hello to anyone that has known me from my experiment, A, and to anyone else here as I understand there were others we weren't informed of. I plan to go for a walk in a while to look around town, but I wanted to say hello here.

who: kaori and scott
where: main street
when: mid morning

Kaori had gotten the idea that everything she'd been told had been lies when she'd started seeing the houses that were boarded up. Not all of them, so clearly she wasn't in town alone, but she knew before she even got to the main part of town that what they'd said...that they were rescued, that the town was in working order, that everything was just going to be a waiting game until governmental red tape was cut through...lies. It was such a crushing sensation weighing down on her shoulders that she found a bench to sit on outside an abandoned school.

She looked down at the sidewalk, mostly just trying to get her head around the idea that instead of being trapped in a mansion...she was now trapped in a town. There would be people who needed her. She knew that, and she would stay true to wanting to help them. She'd do absolutely eveything she could, including stepping up for a leadership role, should people require that. But it didn't change the initial let down, that hard drop down into the pit of desolation.

The worst part for her was that she hadn't seen it coming. The volunteers that had been working with her--they'd all been nice, pleasant, helpful people. She hadn't had any idea that they were hiding something. The only explanation she could come up with was that they didn't know. That they had been told the story they were telling her was the truth, and they really were on the level--just being manipulated themselves. Or, they were all the best group of liars she'd ever come across. Either way, it was unsettling, and made nothing any better.

Alright people! I'm here! It's me, Saj. I'm finally out of that bloody hospital, innit? Bit weird just waking up here, but I suppose that's how they figure it's easiest to transport people? Weird. SO where's my welcome wagon? My WELCOME TO RUSSIA! suprise party? People I know from the house? Although I got told there was more than one house... Fucking odd that. Like Big Brother on masse - don't even get the point as it ain't being broadcast? Whatever man, I never got science.

Carly - when you see this, please let me know where you are. Good to be out of the woods, yeah?

Date: Sunday, October 5th 2008

Weather: The rain has stopped, but the town is generally damp and cold all day. It's cloudy and dull and generally a depressing atmosphere. The winds pick up during the morning and there's high winds from mid-morning and throughout the rest of the day. The power starts to flicker at around midday and this also continues, though there are no actual blackouts.

There has been another round of comings and goings. Hadley, Cheryl and Brody have disappeared from town, whilst Kaori, Esme, Tobias, Emily and Saj wake up in bed in their respective houses having been told the day before that they would be being moved into the town. They had, however, each been led to believe that they'd be being driven in this morning, rather than going to sleep and waking up having been moved. None has any knowledge or information about why the town is abandoned, in fact they were led to believe that everything was normal. Esme's home has been set up to cater to her needs.

Supplies reach rock bottom today. Any store which held food has been completely gutted and even the snack food from the other stores has been taken where possible.

There are no messages for anyone at all today - in fact, on that front, everything has fallen very quiet.

If you have any events or anything going on which you think warrants a mention in the time update, please let us know!

The rain needed to stop, in Ev's opinion. He was getting too old to keep trudging through it and letting it bring out every ache and pain. Too old to feel like dealing with getting sick, even if his surroundings were better. And it was too fitting of a frame for his thoughts and fears. The day had already been a mess between the reported disappearances and the check-up on Svetlana's house, and it wasn't over yet. It was, just like the weather, a steady downpour that would leave you soaked the longer you dealt with it.

Just before everything went to hell again I'd taken on a job at the library. I just went back there this morning to make sure everything is still standing and I thought I should let you all know that there are plenty of books there still. I haven't exactly taken inventory yet but I've seen a few books that could be helpful if our situation gets any worse or doesn't improve at all.

If you want to read up on survival, how to get certain things done, first aid or anything else you may want to drop by.

It didn't take long to find Torlin's grave.

It seemed so wrong that they all had to be buried here. Even in death they couldn't go home. Could anyone find peace laid to rest in this place?

[Private to Janie]

Hey. I just wanted to ask if there was anything you needed or anything I could do for you. I'm guessing things are really rough right now and I don't pretend to be able to do anything to really help but if you need food, company, anything... Just let me know.

You and Everett have been taking charge and, I have to admit, I've been reluctant to join out of fear... I guess of everything. The situation, everyone else. But I'd like to help and I think I'm ready, have to be ready. Is there anything specific that needs to be done?
