Alone in a dark house -- something I hate. Everyone is sleeping, I think, except myself. It's a little comfort to know that I am not really alone: there are people sleeping upstairs, and perhaps even the movements I imagine or the sounds of the house may be theirs. If I needed them I could call out to them. But I don't know them, and they do not know me, not well.
And neither do you. I've been reticent to use this computer. This computer, that like in my old room, stays lit when nothing else does. But then again, I was never able to talk to those whose words sometimes appeared on my screen. And here, I can.
So let me introduce myself. My name is Will; I'm from the experiment they called C (and before that, Michigan, and before that, France...). I'm 23 years old, a psychology student. Is there anyone else out there, reading?

We met the other day, mate, you live in the same house as me. You wanna hang out, come give my door a knock. I well hate not having anyone to chat too.
Was experiment C the locked-up-on-your-own one? That'd drive me schitz, man! I'm from experiment E. The non-fucked one. The one that was like...actually alright. But don't hold that against me ;)
Indeed we did - but thank you for commenting, it's good to know you're around to talk to.
Locked up on our own, and...other things, yes.
Actually all right? So what happened with you? I hadn't even heard of an experiment E.
And I don't hold anything against anyone. A roll of the dice, that put you there instead of my place. Besides, we're all here now, yes? It doesn't make much of a difference where we started out.
Erm, we were just in a house. And they fed us, and left us to our own devices prety much. Worst thing that happened was I got bored - and a handfull of people were wankers but nothing to write home about.
And then one day there was no food, and everyone freaked out, so me and a bunch of other people went off into the wilderness looking for help (bad fucking idea) and it all went pretty much haywire from that point onwards.
